At the grocery store I go to, most of the organic produce is in some kind of plastic packaging.
My aunt would refrigerate them
I put them in the freezer to make banana bread before they go in the bin
That makes sense. Good on ya!
Morrisons individually shrink-wraps cucumbers. They also sell half cucumbers, which are just the shrink-wrapped cucumbers cut in half with a knife so now the inside is exposed.
They used to just sell bunches of bananas though.

But in all seriousness, fuck useless plastic packaging.

Different cultures. India, Southeast Asia…

Bananas wrapped in plastic… Cancelled away by the liberals…
Is that real? It looks real. We’re fucked.

Explains the birthrates.
Ayyyylmao
Its from many years ago, but yeah was real. This isnt done in that store (morrisons) or anywhere else these days. The morrisons logo in that photo was replaced over 20 years ago.
Amazing opportunity to make some machine that sprays a thick bright yellow layer of plastic on a banana, that you peel off and then peel off the probably greyish-green real peel under that because yarg.
I’m amused that it was also worth individually weiging and pricing them. Couldn’t possibly sell a 14p banana for 13, eh?
There’s always money in the banana stand
Robust?? Cmon
Very robust when compared to the thin plastic film they’ve wrapped it in
How much does 1 banana cost? $10?
Pence is the subdivision of the British pound. Given the era it would’ve been equivalent to about 30 cents.
