I never appreciated her character until that arc. Something clicked in me and breathed fresh air into her older episodes. How was I so blind, lol
She was played as comic relief against Picard, but when you peeled away that pretense you realize she was scared and alone. And Odo seemed to be the only person (including Dianna) who truly understood and accepted her for that.
I never thought it looked like it before… but I’ve only ever seen the black and white episodes.
