a structural change that’s been linked to a reduction in depression-related behavior in animals.
On one hand, I’m curious about how they make an animal depressed, but I know better than to ask.
I’m in the middle of a move and have to be away from my wife and dogs for about a month. For the first week or so one dog was all mopey and sad I wasn’t there, like visibly unhappy I wasn’t home. She’s a rescue and has had some separation anxiety, so it makes sense, but I bet it’s like that kind of thing. Take away whatever makes them happy is a pretty sure way to cause depression.
Primary effect vs side effect is semantics and marketing.
