Of course those subsidies expire in 2025, and there is a snowballs chance in hell of those getting renewed now.

Democrats did a lot of things to improve the lives of working class, at least as much as they could get pass the Republican house.

Their problem is messaging. They are terrible at communicating what they’re doing, and how it’s going to help. I mean part of that problem is the media (ie fox news) is allowed to lie and Dems try to tell the truth. The playing field is not really level.

House and Senate matter far more than the presidency, without them the president has very little influence on policy with exception of veto power.

With 2/3 control, the president wouldn’t even have veto power and would be entirely powerless.

Vote for your congressional representation! This is the one day that the little guys can determine the policy direction of the country.

People are way to attached to their phones. The world will not collapse in that hour, it is a survivable event, or so I hear from reputable sources.

A negative story is coverage, makes the left talk about him which riles up the right to fight back and vote because they feel oppressed. The right doesn’t live in reality, so as long as they know Trump is being talked about that makes him their guy.

It doesn’t take a genius to see this tit-for-tat is just going to continue and amplify each time. Strike, bigger counterstrike, rinse & repeat. Without a doubt Israel’s next strike is likely going to be the biggest we’ve seen yet.

Honestly, and I don’t think it’s hyperbole, but I think there is nothing in the current environment that is going to prevent a full-scale total war in the middle east, possibly even beyond that.

This is not that unexpected. There hasn’t been much excitement in the democratic party since 2016 when Sanders movement was stampled. Young voters are still progressive, but there has been no good ringbearer.
