Now I need to see that episode again! I remember that episode really standing out to me when I was first watching the show, I think I rewatched it in the next day or two.
I am definitely a human, and therefore have a profile description, as humans do.

While I knew we would be seeing Spock, I was also hoping there would be fewer established TOS characters. As you said though, the plan seems to be working so far. I’ve definitely been enjoying it!
I’m sure they’ve thought about switching over, whether as a continuation of TOS or telling new stories mixed in with it. I would still watch if they kept it fairly similar, as I like the cast they’ve put together.
I would prefer to see them tell new stories in a new era with a new ship and a new crew though. However, if they decided to continue in the same era, I personally would like to see a La’an led show. It could run alongside the TOS continuity, so they could even add in those appearances by Kirk and Spock that you know they would want to do. They didn’t ask me to pitch for them though, so I doubt it’ll happen! :)
I’ve been waiting to see MI - Dead Reckoning until I can see it and Final Reckoning back to back for that exact reason! I’m hoping it’s a satisfying conclusion in case they actually stick to the statement that it’s the last Cruise led movie in the series.
Godzilla Minus One (2023) 9/10
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016) 6.5/10
Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956) 7.5/10
I’m watching it from a distance to see how things go. I’m a fan of the Dune books and the new movies as well, so the world would be interesting to explore. Unfortunately everything I’ve seen of it gives me the feeling that it should have been a single player game instead.
What they mentioned about the player built houses was the first thing I thought of when I heard you could build your own. There’s going to be huge amounts of clutter everywhere you can build!
Very true! Being early adopters of something new like this is definitely fun, but it has it’s challenges!
Yeah, same! There’s a few others I’ve experimented with posting in, and gotten the same response. I would keep going, but I feel like people are also going to avoid the community if it’s just me talking to myself! So it’s tough to find a good balance.
That sounds fun too! I take some screenshots here and there too, there’s some really great landscapes.
Yeah, I’ve noticed that a lot unfortunately. I’ve got a community I moderate and try to post in when I have something to say, but there’s so many others and not enough time in the day!
Your ESO screenshots look good! It has been my go-to for a while now, it’s been fun. It’s a shame the community on Lemmy isn’t that busy, but I guess there’s not a lot of players here yet.
No, it just says summer.
Thanks! I’ve heard some mentions of it, but never dug into it much. I’ll check it out.
Looks interesting! I saved it to look at later, I’m curious about the information on the Voyager prototype model. It might have to go in my archive of interesting Trek info.
It is an enjoyable way to contribute to the OSM project! I mostly use JOSM or the iD editor for mapping, but when I only have my phone I’ll pull out StreetComplete and do a few quests.
For beginners to mapping, it’s a very easy way to contribute without the worry of messing up something!
That’s the best part! Although in rare cases the flicker of recognition the other person has can mean you found an interesting person to talk to!
I have been known to do the same! It’s a lot of fun to work Trek references into everyday conversation.
The “Well Hello!” he gives Weyoun 8 when he walks in is good too!
Weyoun 5 was my favorite. His scene where he plays dabo, drinks the poisoned kanar, and watches Sisko and Dukat argue is great.
Damar’s first meeting with Weyoun 8 always gives me a laugh though!
It’s still a lot of money for a mug, but compared to the $150-$300 they’re selling for on eBay it’s a great deal!
We had seen Garak already, depending on how you would classify him.
