Having a rough idea of what to expect would be nice (I’m guessing that you will also explore the relationship between the visual art and the music).

Bjork isn’t right for everyone. And that is okay. Kaelan Mikla is just as Icelandic though perhaps a bit more accessible.
Sigur Ros is my favorite Icelandic band
There’s a really good podcast called Björk: sonic symbolism where she discusses her artistic process behind each album. The podcast has bits of each song in it. Good way to get acquainted with her distrography without actually listening to each album all the way through.
I think Bjork is pretty but I wouldn’t go so far as to paint my face and then my ceiling over her
