    Is that word related to not answeting negative to anything? Some of the IT consultants i have worked with from south asia would never say no to anything, even if they had no idea what I meant and I asked them if they understood. This made working with those consultants nearly impossible.

        I looked into a bit (wow, Urdu is a really pretty-looking language) and google translate described as “the act of praising to convey meaning”

        Is it like excessively praising the leaders not necessarily to impress the leaders themselves but to impress other sycophants? Like “I am more patriotic than you”?

          No no. Thats not quite it. Its about being a kiss ass, a bootlicker or brown nosing. It does have a negative connotation. Also implies the person who’s ass you kiss is a ‘superior’, a person with authority.

          And yeah Urdu is a beautiful language, it was created to be so. Even visually calligraphy is one of the most important art forms here historically.
