The UK announced it was considering whether to join the Pan-Euro-Mediterranean (PEM) convention as part of its new trade strategy published last week, arguing it could help boost the UK’s flagging goods exports. However, the European Commission has made clear to the UK that it would not currently support such a move, according to four people familiar with discussions

      No way. Not with what their government is doing right now. Not without them becoming a normal gear like all others and not the special gear deal of thatcher

      as it stands now, Britain is only a backdoor for US influence into our EU policies. Either they commit to being european, or they continue being Donny’s mascots

      At least they will wait until the end of the war in Ukraine or until it spreads. If they believe that Putin will attack a member, they will be in a great negotiation position if the EU needs their weapons. Nato doesn’t make support obligatory so they can hold out until the EU caves.
