But also, cat diapers are ridiculous. I have yet to find one that fits properly, my elderly cat always gets one or both of her legs stuck when she rises from a nap
I guess my experience is that many apartments don’t have carpet through much more than bedrooms now. Heck, one I looked at yesterday has zero carpeting, and this is a place with very cold winters.
My young male cat has a large 6x6 kennel that he goes into while I’m out, and he doesn’t even pee on anything, but I guess most people wouldn’t be willing to do that. (he just constantly tries it on with that elderly cat I mentioned above and that’s not good for anyone lol)

He probably pees on the carpet quite a bit. I could see a tenant being told to get rid of the cat or get evicted.

Yeah but does your young cat have to wear a diaper? This cat seemingly has incontinence problems.
