for background, I shaved my forearms for practicing methods of shaving my legs. low-key a mistake, don’t think id recommend shaving arms lol
I picked up a pizza after getting a shower and to dry out my hair faster I didn’t turn on the AC, was in a hot car in Florida for like 5m while it cooked and this is what happened. Pretty cool!
Edit: also it’s interesting to visualize how much water is lost when you sweat
I can’t be any more clear than this: hatred towards a country is banned on my instance. It’s my call to make. You can point at the original comment and say, “that’s not explicitly called out as a hateful comment!” but that opens a can of worms I’m not willing to deal with. Any abuser can tell a marginalized Redlemmy user that they were just kidding, or there isn’t enough evidence to support the definition of “hatred” or whatever nonsense they want if we begin to allow this kind of toxic behavior.
Should my users have to endure snide comments about their gender? Their ethnicity? Then why should they be forced to tolerate it when it’s targeted at their country of origin? This is what’s best for my users. You’ve obviously found a home in a community that’s more tolerant of such bigotry. It doesn’t fly here.
Something else that doesn’t fly with me:
The feedback I’ve got was mostly unfounded, biased nonsense. Would you really give up a cause you believe in because a dozen people said it was wrong of you? Grow a pair.
And finally, if you don’t like my moderation style, pound sand. You can welcome hatred and bigotry on your own instance. Surely a member of “programming.dev” is capable of it.
I have no more time to donate to you. Have the day you deserve.
Your sidebar also says:
Yet here you are, telling another user who tried to give you constructive criticism to “grow a pair”, “pound sand” and that they’re “tolerant of such bigotry”. That doesn’t seem very respectful to me. You could also have addressed the criticism directly, but opted to instead misconstrue the argument and presented a slippery-slope fallacy.
If you’re not going to treat other users with respect, then that’s a block from me.
