The thought that young children are using these suggest they’ll suffer issues in their mid twenties which is horrifying, and then the issues could get worse throughout their life.

There’s no ionizing radiation given off by cell phones. Guess what, the older you get the chances of brain tumors goes up.
There are generally accepted ages when brain lessions may start to appear. White matter lesions are not what’s being described here.
At least the benefit of this study is that naive people will spend less time on cell phones.
That’s not how odds ratios (or research) work. The compares groups of cell phone users and non-cell phone users.
With that being said, we’ve always known cell phone use has a correlation with very slightly increased cancer rates. That shouldn’t be controversial. It’s not concluding that there’s a direct cause or even, if they did cause it, that it’s from RF.
Glad you used the word correlation here, because surely high cell phone use can also have a correlation with low physical activity and probably poor diet and other things that amplify the risk for cancer. Could be anything.
