Then their reaction, instead of thinking “hey this seems to be a popular topic let me punch it into a search engine to learn more, I have been out of the loop this week after all” is “well I may not have been paying attention to anything this week, but I’ve never heard of this so the burden of proof is on everyone else to prove it to me”
