Georgia was much nicer in my experience than Alabama, but this was many years ago. They (GA) allowed midwifery which meant that I was able to get most prenatal care for a low risk pregnancy from someone who wasn’t just in a rush and overwhelmed. Vs Alabama with one provider for many many people who must be a “doctor” even if everything is going smoothly and they’re like hold on – don’t push doc isn’t here yet. Uh, mam that’s not how this works, and why do I need him anyway? Get here or don’t, IDC.
