I suspect most people aren’t subbing/following communities on Lemmy. So post the community or topic you want to see pop off. And reader(that’s you) if you are interested in that community click the link and follow it.

You’ll probably see it there, but there are only a few people who will persistently try to grow a community, week after week.
Reading the comments here, it seems like a lot of people would like their niche community to be active, but we have to acknowledge that with our current userbase, more general communities are already struggling to stay active, so niche ones are even harder.
Example: !movies@piefed.social is kept up active by less than 5 active posters, and that’s a generic community about movies.
!cooking@lemmy.world is probably good enough for all types of cooking, you get the idea.

Yeah it’s pretty wild. But if we ask people to join niche stuff. Odds are they’re gonna half as it (at least) and just sub to the bigger ones which… I’m taking as a win.
