I’ve recently developed this stomach problem where I always feel full, even though I also feel hungry. I’ve lost 20lb in less than two months

Tweaking brain cells to reduce appetite? Better be cautious with that.

A cautinary tale about unintended conequences: I recall a sci-fi movies about a planet that manipulated people brain to prevent violent emotions and reduce crime. Many lost all will, became lethargic let themselves die of starving.

It’s probably not going to be that bad. But tweaking the brain may not be free of side effects.

While I share the sentiment, they’re taking about a drug, not permanently changing neurons. The GLP-1 family of drugs (Ozempic) work on neurons too, for instance.

A cautionary take from my own life. I quite often ignored my hunger to lose weight and now I’m having trouble stopping the weight loss because i miss meals as the feeling of hunger has weakened in general for me
