Sarcasm and irony can both be expressed through text, and neither require projection or assumption (beyond that required to establish basic context (like language)) when written or when expressed verbally. Why are you trying to pretend that’s not the case, when the whole of the written canon is full of thousands of years of ample examples to the contrary?
