Unfortunately, we have a large and wealthy class of people who believe kicking in your bedroom door and arresting you for the crime of fucking is good public policy. And until those people lose power, they will continue to fund the social and literal murder of the LGBTQ community.
Complicating things further, we have monetized the process of stigmatizing minority groups. So not only do we have a wealthy upper class that believes in sexual prohibition. We have a profit-seeking industrial system that wants to maximize the amount of money generated through surveilling, assaulting, imprisoning, and publicly castigating members of the underclass. Until that engine of profit-seeking is destroyed, we’re going to see poor residents turned against one another in the struggle to access the enormous economic surpluses horded by the upper class.
The only way for them to lose power is for them to lose their life. But not enough of you Lefties own guns compared to MAGA, and you continue to vote in favor of restricting ownership in most blue/left-leaning states. So it’s not going to be well for anyone for the next fifty years.

Absent the legal authority to communicate your grieveness, congregate a movement in opposition, and define your ideological tenants free from persecution, how do you build up a militia with which to resist a tyrannical state?
