I guess kbin somehow inherited that from the post body 2 posts up (which does not mention me, but it does contain my username and Misskey parses it as a link to a profile; maybe kbin does the same and also adds a mention when replying. somehow)
Lemmy mentions are a bit weird, it’s probably mbin trying to compensate for that.

We visted where my dad grew up once, in front a papa jhons we saw a modest graffiti of a surname, my dads surname, of which I have never met anyone with the same surname. Yup it was graffiti from when he was a kid.
