I like Shin Ramyun for sure, just more expensive. Samyang 2X Buldak is my favorite, spicy though. 🔥 🥵

Samyang 2x is so good but the heat sticks to you. The oil just lingers in a way that makes it more intense than an equivalently spicy hot wing. It is so god damn good; it’s the kind of spicy that starts to make me “spicy drunk” (a desired outcome) and that just feels ridiculous for a packet of ramen.

I love Buldak Ramen. I haven’t had a bad flavor yet. I just had the Yakisoba flavor today for lunch. It was good, but not great. I think Rosé or the original are my favorites.

Do the noodles themselves taste different to you? I like Buldak spicy flavor packets, but the noodles themselves are very off putting and I can’t really stand to eat them. I don’t know if it’s just that they are thick or they are a specific kind of noodle I should avoid. Or are they best prepared some way other than add water and microwave?

I would like to experiment with more ramen varieties but after it took me months to get through a 5 pack, I’m hesitant.

I like the noodles. I do usually cook them on the stovetop, and in cook them for a little more than half the recommended time. I don’t really like them too soft.

I don’t think it’s the texture, but something specific about the flavor hard to describe from memory. I’ll have to try some other varieties and see if it’s just Buldak or if I can figure out what the cause is. Thanks for responding!
