In August of 2023, I wrote about my switch to Linux as a Windows-centric professional. I’ve dabbled in Linux as a daily driver in the past, but it has always ended in some form of defeat. Eventually returning to my abuser, Windows.
People have vastly different requirements / acceptance critera from each other. grab another disk and try dual booring and poking around.
this year, 95% of my time at my workstation is on fedora 42, 4 percent win11 (occasional work purposes), 1% win10 (also work purposes).
There’s no productivity sw keeping me from switching away, which is nice to be able to say. Five years ago, I wouldn’t have found it so easy.
Yeah, that is what I have decided to do. Not least just to test how compatible my hardware is. I may need a new GPU since my current one is nvidia, but as far as I understand it, it may still be able to run.
