The cat we had when I grew up was amazing.

She was a great huntress, some days she brought home three fieldfares, don’t worry, they were very common, on one occasion she even brought home the tail of a squirrel…

Anyway, she would never jump up in your lap or so, but if you were crying, she would lay down next to you and purr like crazy, we also had a pool for a while when i grew up, if you was bathing and held you head under water, she would meow and try to get other’s attention.

She was fantastic, a completely black cat, with short but compact fur and tuffs of hair of the tips of her ears.

Most of our cats are pretty great at being cuddly when we’re having a bad day. Or a good day. Or a meh day.

Last night I couldn’t sleep, when I finally did I woke up to my cat trying to spit up a hairball on the bed

It was my understanding that we give off pheromones they can smell. And since they think we’re their dumber and uglier cousins, they feel empathetic and like to pity us.
Or was this for dogs? I forget.

Anyway, our biological limitations prevent us from fully understanding each other, yet even so, we can commiserate in the portions we do understand.
