I’m not a huge fan of my Samsun monitor either actually. There’s a lot of stuff in there that I don’t want or use, and most of what is in there feels pretty half-assed. Will definitely be trying another brand when it comes to replace it.

I’m sure there are good reasons as well as cowardly ones for not warning the public that this war has already long trickled out into the rest of Europe. But I think it’s past time to start calling out Russia publicly to build support for EU intervention in Ukraine and counter the Russian propaganda.

The right-wing playbook in action. It’s really interesting (and evil) how their rhetoric evolved to take advantage of the weaknesses of modern liberalism. The reason we shouldn’t accept their speech into just any space is because, pardon my French: it isn’t on the fucking level. They’re not trying to win a rational debate. They’re just trying to win, through whatever means necessary including exaggerating, lying, and bullshitting.

I am probably preaching to the choir here but if any of y’all haven’t gone through it, the whole right-wing playbook series on Youtube is pretty much mandatory viewing at this point and definitely made me abandon my ‘we should debate them in the marketplace of ideas’ stance.

I sometimes wonder if there’s something we could be getting behind to tip the scales the other way. It would be wonderful not to have to wait for this to show its ugly head again and instead have the pro-surveilance people on their heels trying to stop a pro-privacy movement.

I had mine going until the battery went spicy pillow about a year and a half ago and I haven’t had time to replace it yet.

You can make the case that it’s not a fun use of our time but how is it not tied to difficulty? Being able to get to the boss with enough health or consummables is certainly part of the intended challenge.

I don’t know if there’s a great chart showing how privitization increases the costs at every level, but knowing that the USA spends 1.5-2x as much as any other developed nation should be enough.

Ultimately, it should be obvous that health care is incompatible with free market economics because of course a person will pay any price for good health.
