Political violence is of course bad… but as soon as you call for it, especially indirectly, you deserve whatever comes to you. Stochastic terrorism is still terrorism, and there’s not a lot more American than the fact we don’t negotiate with terrorists.
They just keep escalating their violent rhetoric and and actions without regard to the law. If you make violence inevitable, the threat of violence as a punishment becomes meaningless.
I would say the only things more American than the fact we don’t negotiate with terrorist is our negotiations with terrorists or our acts of (state sanctioned, so they don’t use the term) terrorism.

They haven’t faced any consequences for their calls of violence, so why would they stop?
