Not only is conformity encouraged, but deviating from their group norms even slightly is met with suspicion if not outright fear and hostility. Plus that’s what people who are emotionally stuck in adolescence and/or the 80s think looks cool.

That doesn’t make me a terrible and/or extremely cringe person, but never progressing from that does, is my point 😉
