    I rather like Vlad Vexler’s point .

Basically, no matter what your opinions are about the individual, for the first week afterwards if you open your mouth in public it is only to express condolences to the family and to condone all violence. PERIOD, no “but…”

Why? Because we are humans with emotions and feelings.

A week or so after, THEN you talk about how violent rhetoric leads to violent actions.

Nah, fuck that and fuck anybody who parrots it.

The MAGA-fascists were spewing violent rhetoric immediately after the assassination of Melissa Hortman; they deserve nothing better.

Fuck their feelings, fuck their crocodile tears, fuck their false victimhood, and fuck anybody duped into carrying water for their dishonest rhetoric!

The only time it’s too soon to dance on the corpse of a Nazi is before it’s made into a corpse.

My condolences to the family for being related to a Nazi. Except to those family members who are also Nazis, to which I wish a prompt and similar fate as that deserved and received by the slain villain who’s taken the focus of the news the past few days.

My emotions and feelings are that I don’t give a flying fuck about someone who caused hate and division. His rhetoric has directly harmed people I care about.

I will not express condolences for someone who has hurt those close to me.

I respect a lot of the thought and consideration that Vexler puts into his discourses, but on this topic, I straight up do not agree. Carotid Artery Charlie was a heinous fascist, and he deserves to be remembered as a heinous fascist. Fascists get no grace, respect, sympathy, honor, or quarter, under any circumstances.

It’s never the acceptable time for some. By the time it is, another such event has occurred. The next thing you know, we’re never talking about it because some people have “rules” about it.

      Why? Because

you want to whitewash his history while it’s in the media and in pop culture. After it’s out of pop culture, then historians can find the truth.

Fuck all that. People who reject empathy don’t deserve empathetic treatment. He was a giant turd and I’m glad he got flushed.

In a week, generally no one will be talking about it and everyone will have moved on. This is how stories get killed.

Meanwhile, release the Epstein files that Kirk likely died for helping to hide. In related news, Did you hear how 51 senators are ok with covering up for pedos? Why don’t you make their lives miserable for agreeing with Kirk instead of telling the serfs people to shut up?

Real humans listen to emotions AND reason and don’t deny them. To do otherwise would be to agree with Kirk that ‘empathy is a new age term that does a lot of damage’.

Why should I show condolences to his family? That is empathy you know the thing he said was made up and pointless.

Wouldn’t it be nice if MAGA followed the same rules? Wouldn’t it be nice if everyone acted like civilized human beings? Let me know when that happens.

What I would wish for right now is for my state to not speak for me. I do not want my state’s flag lowered for someone who promoted hate and violence. I will not celebrate his death, that’s kinda sick, but I will definitely not celebrate his life either.
