Took the time to get a replacement and redo it instead of throwing the whole thing out. Sitting in it feels better than ever.
Very impressive. I was going to ask how you did all the little rivet holes until I saw you ordered it
The kits for them are cheap, they go in with a hammer.
Punching a couple eyelets is easy. That many? No way. They make “guns” for them too which are like pliers. Even easier than the hammer and faster.
I definitely would have replaced it if I had to punch my own holes haha
The impressiveness of your handy work is boardering on interesting.
I think I have this exact chair. Nice work!
Interestingly, usually the metal frame would usually go bad and rust before the fabric would go bad
The frame is a little rusty, but still solid. The fabric did its best, but it doesn’t help that I’m close to 3 bills and have been using it for years.
Fake. People in zero gravity don’t need chairs, especially this one. /s
Is the material canvas?
It’s some sort of sturdy, rough, probably synthetic canvas. Meant for enduring outdoor conditions for sure.
