Thanks @seiya712 for making this!
Breaking spaghetti makes me irrationally angry. Being long and noodly is the reason I use them, why should I take that away from me?
Im not gonna cook it in a twice as big pot when I just wanna a lil bit. Yes, I know it gets elastic, no, it barely fits even then in the particular pot I am thinking of
Just hold it vertically in the boiling water, it takes about ten seconds to get soft enough to bend it.
Why not use other pasta varieties instead?
Cuz sometimes that’s the one I got on hand. Or I want spaghetti pasta in particular, even if shorter. Am breaking noodles, not killing people
never forgetti
Why are short spaghetti worse than fussili, maccaroni etc.?
I don’t like broken spaghetti. If I want short pasta I’ll use fussili, macaroni or whatever fits my noodle needs :)
i like penne

oki, you do that. meanwhile i merrily keep breaking my pasta :33
I’ll judge you in silence :D
But you are still better than my best friend who hates spaghetti in general. No other pasta, only spaghetti.
Why are you getting angry about other people’s noodle choices if your justification is “I don’t like it”?
I specifically wrote that it’s irrational. I don’t know what else you want from me here.
You’ve been trying to rationalize it the whole thread, though.
To be fair they admit them getting angry about it is irrational
Red wine with cola is a popular drink in Spain!
And every supermarket in Germany has a shelf of beer mixed with sweet soda. Beer+cola is really good IMO, but you need to mix it 2:1 instead of 1:1 like most of the pre-bottled ones. AND they’re drinking cappuccino in the afternoon!
Every country mixes their main alcohol with coke. Even french people know what Kalimotxo is, thanks to the Basque.
In any case, I think the image shows watered down wine, not Kalimotxo.
Am I blind? That is red wine with ice.
And guess what’s ice. When the ice melts the wine gets… Watered down. That’s why you frost the wine in other ways, you could use iced wine cubes lol.
Watered down wine has been popular since antiquity, if not earlier. Though I do kind of agree with the Italians that ice is not the way to do it, at least for red wine. Using stillwater makes it much easier to control the dilution.
It hurts on multiple levels, sure you water it down but also a red wine rarely needs to be cooled down in such manner anyway.
I ensure you that keeping the bottle surrounded by iced water like they do in most high end Spaniard restaurants will cool it down just as much or more. Some varieties of red wine are expected to be taken colder.
I’m well aware. I’m also well aware you will be hard pressed to find any wine that’s to be server at cocktail level of cold.
Hence the triggering.
Oh, it’s not served at that temperature, it’s just that when it’s 30c outside you kinda do need to put that much ice in the bucket to counteract the weather.
In any case, yeah, the depiction is triggering.
Yeah, but mixing wine with cola is clearly worse than mixing it with water, from the perspective of food purists. Also I’d be surprised if wine+cola was popular in Italy.
Oh, understood. Idk about Italy.
So 2 parts beer to 1 part cola?
Exactly. Depends on how bitter the beer is and personal taste, but it’s definitely more beer than 1:1.
amazing how valentino can be so awful but joel can be so pure and wholesome :3
Genuinely took me a minute to understand this. I guess I’m just not judgemental about these things.
Seafood with lots and lots of grating cheese.
Cappuccino with steak
Cappucino is the dipping sauce
