Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu offered a heated response to the news that the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia had officially recognized the state of Palestine.

“I have a clear message to those leaders who recognize a Palestinian state after the terrible massacre on October 7: you are giving a huge reward to terrorism,” Netanyahu said in a statement. “And I have another message for you: it will not happen. A Palestinian state will not be established west of the Jordan River.”

I like how it’s now that there’s almost nothing left that western countries chose to recognize the Palestinian state. “Let’s just wait until they have finished exterminating the population before we told them it’s wrong to exterminate the population. Surely history will remember us as the good guys, we’re Canadian after all.”

While the Gaza Strip may have been reduced to rubble, its people still live on.

Additionally - the West Bank also exists, even if it too faces its own onslaught from the IDF and colonisers masquerading as ‘settlers’.
