The EU is targeting cookies, among other issues, in its upcoming Digital Omnibus to reduce regulatory burden for businesses.

The Commission maintains that changes to the regulations around cookies will cut costs for businesses by reducing the cases where consent must be obtained by users.

Yeah no, that does not sound like an improvement. It sounds like giving corposore freedom to suck in data.
