      It’s not Trump. He’s far too stupid.

      It’s most of the oligarchs — of every economy — who own the controlling share of most multinationals and major domestic corporations, religious fundamentalists, as well as foreign adversaries like China and Russia; plus all of the lobbyists and analytics corps who are happy to subvert democracy for profit (all of them).

      This is why surveillance capitalism, social media, big data, and analytics are so dangerous to human civilization. They provide authoritarians — the most corrupt, psychopathic, and narcissistic criminals — with the capability to coerce and manipulate the entire human population en mass.

        I mean when there are articles about Apple fighting against the EU, it gets obvious that the US is a failed state. I mean one is a company with assets worth 300 billion, the other is an alliance with assets worth 150 trillion.

        Why is a random corp at the same table even? Why are we dealing with random corps instead of the US?
