I bet must of you don’t even have accounts on most social media

No, we decided not to hand over all our data and that of our friends to the fascist machine grinding down the world’s democracies. But it sounds fun.

Without the interference of fascists and the selling out of all my contacts and private information.

If that’s too high a bar, then I guess I won’t be spreading information meaningfully.

Kind of cool that you were convinced to weaponize this passion to remove yourself from social media where you could do some good. Good thing the timing isn’t convenient or anything

What the fuck are you talking about? Any actual plans to get rid of the fascists in charge is not going to be posted about on social media. It’s going to talked about quietly in people’s basements and shit.

You still have democracy. What are you going to do in your basement when you can’t even use the greatest tool ever invented for organizing people? You’re like someone who’s barely managed a 5k acting as if they’re ready for a marathon because deep down you really believe you are. It’s the same mindset as people saying, “We’ll just colonize another planet,” instead of solving the problems here.

If you can’t create engagement, build networks, and promote content and ideas today, you’re not going to magically organize anything from a basement. Believing otherwise is what’s truly delusional.

Social media is not “the greatest tool for organizing people.” It’s a tool for the wealthy to scoop up our data.

Can you explain that a bit better because you’re flat wrong. But I’m really wondering how you feel it’s not our greatest tool to organize, what would be?
