I primarily mean video games. However, if you’ve played some kind of interesting table top or card game I’d like to hear about that too! I’ve been replaying the Witcher 3 lately.
100%'d Silksong, my game of the decade so far.
It took them seven years to make it. I doubt they will release another installment in five years so definitely GotD.
I think I’m about halfway through Stray and love every minute.
I’ve also been playing Pokemon Emerald: Seaglass as a really gorgeous re-imagining of Emerald.
I really enjoyed Stray the world is gorgeous (in it’s dingy apocalyptic way) and I enjoyed how they used the mechanics with a couple change ups to keep it interesting but not out-staying there welcome.
The ending I thought was really good.
Check out spirit of the north if you wanna play a game where youre a cute fox
I will! Thanks!
For video games, I just beat silksong, which was super fun and pretty brutal. The art and music is phenomenal though, it’s a great game. Working on Hades 2 right now, which is also fantastic and I’d recommend.
For board games I’ve been getting my group into the Heroes 3 board game. It’s the biggest box I’ve ever seen for a game lol. It does a great job of feeling like the computer game while meeting the constraints of a board game, plus there’s lots of bits to fiddle with. Downside is its huge, so you need a big table or a group comfortable playing on the floor.

I used to love the ratchet and clank series. But I haven’t had a sony console since the PS2

I just bought ratchet and clank rifts apart. Still waiting to play it. But I’m glad others like it!
Did you play with keyboard or controller? And what would u recommend?

Nice, i only have a steam controller, but I guess it’ll still be better than keyboard haha
I picked up Icewind Dale again. It’s one of my comfort games, along with several of the other Infinity Engine games. Still holds up.
Something always steals my attention away anytime I try and start that one up.
Someday.
To be fair, it’s not terribly engaging (compared to the other games in the series). But if you’re into dungeon crawls, it’s fun.
I’ve been playing only retro games lately and I just finished Castlevania: Symphony of the Night for a second time yesterday. Now I’m continuing playing the Fatal Frame saga on my ps2.

You don’t have to be a OSRS fan to like it. It’s just a solid open world rpg sandbox with dopamine infused achievements.
Oooooh, as someone that loves OSRS but finds it to be a bit too much of a time sink I’m very very intrigued. Thanks for bringing that to my attention.
Playing Ghost of Yotei at the moment and absolutely loving it. Tsushima was an all timer for me so I’m happy for more.
I started to play RE2: Remake somedays ago. Has been a struggle since I only have like 2 hours to play per day. Yesterday started the second part of the game with Claire, and man, I laugh my ass off because the fucking zombies doesn’t let her take a breath.
I’ve been playing on void linux with GE-Proton10-15 (GE-Proton10-19 came out like 3 hours ago, for someone’s information)
Damn I haven’t played an RE game since probably RE6. I’ve always loved horror movies but I think I’m too much of a big baby to play horror games regularly.
I skipped RE6 and all of the RE: Revelations games. I can’t play those games because I can’t handle the action factor that they have. Still, the last RE games I played were RE7 and RE8. I loved them, especially 8.
Just finished SOMA a few years late. Asks some very good questions…
I loved Soma, so much existential angst.
I love the big revelations and how they are done. It’s definitely a game which makes you think.
I also love that they put in the no deaths mode so you can ignore the monsters which whilst cool I don’t think added much to the experience for me other than frustration trying to sneak past them.
Just finished my annual Far Cry 2 play through, and it was as chaotic and random as ever.
Man that series fell off quickly after that one. I liked 3 a good bit, but it was still a massive downgrade from Far Cry 2 in some respects. Just replayed 2 on PC at the start of the year after not playing it since the Xbox 360 days in 720p.
I literally just finished the 3D remake of Final Fantasy 3 (PC version) before coming here. After I’m done here, I’m going to start playing Roller Coaster Tycoon Deluxe.
I also somewhat recently finished the original PC version of Doom 3 and it’s expansion pack. I understand why people don’t like it as much as Doom 1 and 2 but I still think the game was good.
Beyond all reason: it’s open source, it’s awesome, it bugs, it uses all of your cores, you can contribute to it, and join in progress.
I picked up a thing that just now came out of early access, called The Farmer Has Been Replaced(). It’s a Python coding game, you’re given a grid-based farm and a drone that runs Python code you write for it to plant, water, harvest etc. crops. It’s a decent little coding exercise, not the worst way to learn Python.
I’m playing through an old PS2 title Radiata Stories. I don’t get why this title is so overlooked! It’s really fucking funny to play in 2025 cause its weirdly apt with nepotism, classism and going to war over wage theft (kinda, anyway).
I don’t wanna spoil it though.
