The Victorinox tweezers are… very low quality compared to other offerings. I’ve been using an ALOX Farmer X for a couple years now and I never miss the toothpick or the tweezers. YMMV of course.

My second carry is the Civivi Sendy with a far surperior toothpick and tweezers. Not only better than nothing but better than most!

It’s sexy and sleek, but it looks like a flea market knife. If I didn’t see the branding I wouldn’t give it another glance.

They’re trash and always have been. They’re cheap toys for people who don’t know what tools are

Which apparently includes you. Tools are functional devices that perform various jobs. Victorinox has always provided that. Writing them off as “trash” and “cheap toys” ignores the fact that they actually work quite well. They offer good designs, decent materials, and excellent quality control. A Victorinox is more than enough tool for most people. They are not going to appeal to steel snobs, but they are solid practical tools at reasonable prices.

My every day blades are customs with blades in S90V and Magnacut. I also carry a heavily customized Leatherman Free P4. I obviously prefer those, but I also have a Victorinox Rambler, Super Tinker, and Outrider that I sometimes carry instead. They have fixed a lot of things for me over the years.

There is a great deal of difference between a Kia and a Lamborghini, but most of the time you just need to get to the store and they will both do that without any problems.

Victorinox knives are stupid cheap on eBay. I’ve bought 50-packs by searching “TSA swiss army knives”.

Maybe not your jam, but I like fixing them up, keeping what I want, gifting and selling the rest.

Nah! I love fixing them up! It’s stupid easy, for me anyway. I’ve made seriously nice knives out of TSA crap.

The vast majority of what you get is good to go. Few strokes on the stone, little polish on the wheel, brand new. Ordered toothpicks and tweezers off eBay to straiten out the surplus. PLUS, he gets a gift you worked on! And you never know what you’ll get! I’ve got some very cool knives from a batch of 50.
