There’s absolutely nothing wrong with being short. Lying about your height and wearing ridiculously high lifts, while continuing to lie about it in the face of evidence however is a pretty powerful statement of character on his part. And not a flattering one
And like sure, historically since televised debates height determines who is president but Meatball Ron is fighting for dear life to be a bit taller, not even the tallest choice.
Or just don’t wear heels, and when some opponent or interviewer makes some comment about your height, just dig into them like “really? We’re discussing the future of our country and you’re focused on my height? I’m here to focus on the real issues, not petty shit”. Boom, you’d come across way more confident and manly than any amount of height could give you.
Ofc, his base is exactly the sort who is petty enough to care about height, so maybe that approach would only work for a dem candidate lol
Unfortunately, this is a country where a not insignificant number of people vote based on whether they’d want to have a beer with the candidate.
The reality is, being short probably would (does) lose him votes, because people in this country (particularly conservatives that have a very strict, old school view of what a “man” should be) are fucking stupid.
Remember Dennis Kucinich? His height didn’t do him any favors.
It’s not so much a statement of character. I’d get a more valuable statement of character by just looking at his basic political platform. If, say, bernie just had some weird tick where he was super insecure about his height, I would still probably like him about the same.
That doesn’t work with his fans though. They like that he is awful. But wearing lifts and lying about his height might lose him support with the macho man meatheads. Mock this guy until he’s a national joke, that’s the only way to make his fans turn on him.
Sure, but at this point he’s in an endless tailspin. Could also just stop talking about him at this point altogether, probably. Whatever supporters there are, he’ll never be able to dig himself out to face down Trump now.
Oh, he’s dead in the water this cycle for sure. But in 4 or 8 years he’ll still be around while trump will be gone and any damage done now will linger. Dukakis was sunk because he looked kind of silly riding a tank. Howard Dean’s warcry turned out to be more of a screech. This completely wrecked their national election chances.
I will agree that it’s better to go after people like DeSantis based on policy, but I’ll take destroying their public perception too.
Yeah the Dean Scream is a perfect example of the media and public perception destroying a campaign. He was a solid candidate and one weekend of incessant coverage over that scream was all it took.
Ugh, this stuff over height is so silly. None of it matters because they’re just variations of shorter than me.

Not once have I ever thought Danny Davito or Kevin Hart wasn’t talented or presentable because of their height.

The only thing this really is, is funny as shit.
The initial video was kind of funny, but we could just focus on how fucking awful he is.

Won’t catch me standing in the way - it’s pretty entertaining, anyway.
