How so? Even if we ignore the pro-Russian far right and the political establishment(s) giving them legitimacy, I haven’t seen anything resembling resolve, let alone competene, from most EU countries. Hell, those guys are still dragging their feet on sanctions and importing Russian gas.

Meanwhile, in the real world, Europe is importing a trickle of what they used to from Russia, pretty much every product is under sanctions and tens of billions upon billions continue to be given in aid to Ukraine.
The EU is too slow, but it is NOT fighting against itself, esp. wrt current political climate.

Its slowness (thinking of the glacial pace of sanctions here) means that it’s effectively funding Russia’s war effort then funding the opposition to in it Ukraine. Also its failure to address rising costs of living and adoption of anti-immigration rhetoric is fueling the far right, which is notoriously pro-Russian. Every other EU policy I see in the news is basically outright self-sabotage.
