“You must remember what Amalek has done to you, says our Holy Bible: ‘Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass.’”
Sheesh, that Amalek thing is such a convenient bit to haul out whenever you need God to tell you to go murder a bunch of people. I remember years ago getting into what seemed to be a fairly abstract philosophical debate on Wikipedia about the detailed definition of atheism that ended with the guy I was arguing with calling for my death because I was “Amalek.” So I guess atheists and Palestinians can both be Amalek depending on what’s pissing you off on any given morning.
Do we do NSFW tags on lemmy or nah?
That cover photo is brutal.
It’s a NSFW filter based on sexual images, the NSFL filter is what we need.
But also we need to know this military action by Hamas and Israel are costing us real lives and innocent lives no matter how we try to justify it.
Both labels are childish. We need new ones that are not that way.
You could just call it what it is, gore/nudity/whatever
“Human nature”
Cost of life filter.
I agree. And I see why umbrella terms are wanted. I just think framing things around being safe for work, of all things, and then solving from there for other terms, is childish and bizarre.
Work is shorthand for public. It just means don’t open this around other people who may misconstrue what they’ve seen from you.
For life means don’t open this for your own sake.
It’s not childish or bizarre, there are just different reasons for why you might not want to view a link.
Sorry, not used to doing that.
