    The Arab states chose not to participate in the partition plan, figuring they would destroy Israel and capture all the territory instead with military might as soon as Britain pulled out. It of course didn’t work out that way.

    There’s blame on both sides since 1947 and before. This is a war Palestine (and Egypt, Syria and Jordan) have waged on Israel and Israel has waged on them.

    There isn’t a good guy to be found here. It’s bad guys all the way down.

      Riiight… how could those damnable middle-easterners not just stand by while colonialist powers generously redrew their borders as if the middle-east belonged to them?

      Riiiight.

      Utter bullcrap. Did Palestine infiltrate Europe and perpetrate settler-colonialism on European Jewish people? Yes? No?

      Once again… the only thing the apologists on here have managed to prove so far is that the only thing making all of this “complicted” is the garbage pro-colonialist right-wing propaganda westerners have been regurgitating for decades.
