Seeing natural wonders is good, meeting new people is good, experiencing new things is good. Vacations are human enrichment.

Nah. Crowded airports, asshole travellers, packed into planes like livestock, overcharged for everything as tourists, then the 34 ways you can get bloody diarrhea.

Flying sucks, but the US is such a massive country with so many natural wonders I think it’s reasonable to vacation within it: the Rockies, Niagara Falls, The Painted Desert, Yellowstone, etc. It also has a plethora of museums, galleries, and camp grounds.

But people aren’t even doing that anymore.

Well there you go! But staying home is good as well. I’ve gotten good at it. Everything is copacetic at home. No hassles of airports, reservations, and packing your pile of clothes across the world. Vacations are fine if you feel you need it but I’ve never felt it enough to actually want to. I’ve got lots to do at home and wish for nobody to fill in if I’m gone.

I’d certainly be happier tomorrow! Hell I’d probably take me a vacation to celebrate!

But like, it wouldn’t actually allow most people to take vacations. In fact, things would probably be roughly the same if Biden or Kamala had won. The current situation is structural, not just the fault of any single person.

Yes it was bad before Lord Feltersnatch but he alone has blown the world into a crisis and there’s no denying that!

Hardly, he’s just continued the same trajectory the US was already on.

The next president will be worse, and the next after that, until the US collapses.
