Now if you were a MC02 Red Team Member and you’re here to get mad and possibly out of a twinge of fear that YOU are a cringe Millennium Red, I’m near certain that if you’re even on this website in the first place that you’re one of the ones who made it. But most Reds didn’t.

Millennium Reds witnessed early on the success of a great many operations. They have they have borne witness to a great success of improvisation, a great success of gumption, a great success of asymmetric strategy. A double whammy of victory against the odds and espirit de corps. Then the Millennium Red team were faced with a shining truth of reality. The Blue team were born into a system where they cannot fail, only be failed. And rather rather than being like, oh thank God these off the rail simulations are being reset, now we can change it to the path that would have led to ordained American victory, they fled the opposite direction. They bought in wholesale to the idea they were cheated out of a win. Similar to how the overbearing “cute” aesthetics of anime were a response to the undeniable realities of The Bomb, the Millennium Red took the undeniable inevitability of capitalist realism and fled to anti-American cynicism, and built their entire identity around that.

CENTCOM and American patriots mocking relentlessly the cringe Millennium Red, mocking their displays of sober realpolitik, mocking their breaking down in tears at the bombing of civilian school children, is a sign of great hope. The American patriot is not devoid of personality, like some breathless thinkpieces would have you believe. They are only devoid of the Millennium Red’s soy desires for “peace”. They and CENTCOM have the potential to be forces of great destructive fury. And I personally look ofrward to it. Even if no strategic objectives are accomplished, at least the Iranian moderates will have finally been swept out.
