Rachel Maddow said that the Republican Party is the only institution that can pull the plug on Trump, which is why the former president is testing them by invoking Hitler.
Trump has been manipulating people his entire life, his narcissistic personality has made him do it for personal gain at every opportunity, which his position as a billionaire has created an extreme amount of. He has probably done it also just for fun, or to feel powerful without any other gains.
At his age and position, that’s a massive amount of experience in manipulation, which he is 100% prepared to ruthlessly use as much to his advantage as he can.
The weird thing is why so many can’t see through it, when it’s so obvious to what I would call “normal” people?
He behaves like an uncontrolled toddler, he constantly contradicts himself, he is so very obviously lying, and he is obviously evil both in many personal relations, the way he practices his business, and his political observations.
Because conservative minds see him as a “brick through the window”, a man who will return things to their rightful place.
Here’s the best explanation of Trump I’ve ever read. And I truly think it’s an important essay. And yes, it was on Cracked.com. Humor me and give it a 5-minute read.
Yes that’s very well written, and has many very good points. I can even understand the attraction of “the old values”, except the racism homophobia and religious fanaticism.
If the more important old values are considered to be integrity honesty decency and tolerance, you get a completely different picture.
Google David Letterman’s sex scandals. But it’s okay, because they’re on our side,
No it’s OK because he never claimed to live by Christian standards, and there is nothing intrinsically immoral about it, and he is not an elected official I voted on because of his values.
Trump on the other hand, is followed by people who claim Christian values, and Trump is by some even claimed to be the second coming of Christ.
But in reality he is a narcissist the exact opposite of being humble as the Bible teaches. He has been married twice and commits adultery, he lies constantly, and probably commits at least one deadly sin per day according to the bible.
The problem is the disconnect between the values these country folk claim to want to protect, and their actions that are actually directly contrary to that.
Been saying for years that the man is too dumb, senile and self-centered to have some master plan. He’s just rolling with what works.
This has greatly shifted my thinking.
