On a side note, there’s a rabbithole of who claimed what country is the third iteration of the Roman Empire. I only knew about Germany and Russia with it’s state-level motto ‘Moscow is the third Rome’, but many other countries (or their ideologists of varying mental health problems) said something akin to that too. It’s funny how regressive politicians masturbate to the past and it’s symbolism, but I doubt anyone of them would name their flagman ship Titanic, although it’s not too far from claiming a dead state’s name imho.
