I think it was a combination of a desperate DeSantis trying to save his flailing campaign and Newsome setting up a 2028 run.

No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning
