    Good. Austria’s decision was a purely populist decision taken by their right-wing/far-right government.

    Is there a legal basis for this? The article doesn’t even go into this topic.

      Yeah, I am wondering that too. Went through several articles, all not really saying on what ground they sue. Like, there isn’t a legal right to be in Schengen, or is there? Austria is a mighty dick about this issue, but I have no idea what they’re getting legally sued for.

        It is a legal right, after joining the EU it’s mandatory that you join Schengen. Romania has fulfilled all the requirements since around 10 years.
