Jordan Neely is anything but a victim of the system. Neely was a violent criminal who was given chance after chance by the system to reform himself. He was even given a place to stay by the court but he left after a week. As the British would say Neely was a wasteman. Neely had over 40+ arrests and had a long history of violence sure he had a rough childhood and the drug addiction but there are plenty of who have that and don’t grow up to menaces to society like Neely.

Daniel Penny was completely in the right and did nothing wrong. Neely was threatening everyone in that train and punched an elderly woman in the face. All Daniel Penny did was what the police should have done. Frankly, the only victims of the system here are the people of New York who had to deal with Neely’s reign of Terror.

I feel like Neely is also a victim of the healthcare system or lack there of. I live in the NYC area and there are so many “crazy” people everywhere literally screaming in the streets. These people used to be sent to state run mental facilities that all closed down, now the system just lets them run loose all over the city.

Neely had already been in mental hospital to multiple times in the past not only that he had a strong safety net. You can talk about rehabilitation all day but the thing is the person is supposed to want to be rehabilitated. Neely clearly didn’t want that. For whatever reason he was content with being a waste of air.

I’m not disagreeing with you, I’m saying they shouldn’t have let him out of the mental facility in the first place. Everyone in NYC that actually has to deal with these people also agree with you.

Ok then if that’s where people go when they’re right about things. You can go back to sucking off a violent criminal.
