I almost died last year after getting struck with a pickup truck while riding my bicycle. Some people say they see angels and shit. I didn’t see any of that. What I did see was my vision turning more white starting from my peripheral vision and moving inwards towards the center of my eyes.

I also felt like I was floating above the table. It also wasn’t scary which is what freaked me out the most. I felt kind of peaceful and warm and I thought about all the time I would miss with my wife and decided to try and keep talking. Apparently I was saying mostly jibberish from what I was told but I did keep trying to stay coherent as best I could.

I don’t think anything exists after death. I think you just die. Also take all of this with a rather massive grain of salt. I had lost a ton of blood in this situation.

It is believed that people can have visions or hallucinations that will match whatever they believe in when they are dying. For some it is Jesus, for others it is nothing or memories. It is interesting to think about that when dying or being close to it, your brain will just make up whatever makes it feels the most reassured. The real question is why?
