I definitely don’t want to see how many people like a song I’m listening to or what they have to say about it. I want my music experience to be more personal. I will just go to normal YouTube if I want to discuss something.

Ugh, I still miss GPM so much. YTM is worse to me in just about every way.

They had it so right with GPM. I wish they had gave more shits about it. I even paid for that shit because it was good enough to remind me of the old days of using foobar to listen to music.

I’m gonna go against the grain and say this is awesome and I’m excited for it. I love talking to other people about less-popular songs. I think it could really add a cool social aspect

Who wanted this? Who asked for this?

Like, ytm has boneheaded problems like “wear os client only lists your first 99 albums”. The fact that you can’t sort albums by artist is bonkers. But they’re adding comments? What???

I use Spotify, but I don’t think I’ve ever been listening to a song and wanted to read comments on it. Let alone YouTube comments.

What WOULD be cool is something like Genius to better understand the lyrics, or a little wikipedia blurb with info on the artist / song history

This isn’t even as terrible as them shoving Shorts into YT Music, but it’s definitely on the downward slope. Streaming music was a mistake. You can only keep skipping to the next walled garden.
