What you could do is get some store brand soda water / club soda / seltzer or a non-sodastream water carbonator. Then get like a cola syrup online. I know some ones that do use sugar are 1883 and Torani, they both have a cola flavour. I also havent seen a lot but I saw one brand called Zerup that has a zero sugar cola syrup. You could try that.

Are you looking for cola specifically or something like cola adjacent? And do you like it sweet or are you not super particular?
What’s the name of the song?

2·2 years agoEhhh better to be safe that have a discussion on religion and persecution in the issues board. Then it doesnt linger as an open ticket.
I feel like discussion about something like this is better suited for like a forum or a dedicated discussion channel. They discuss in a followup on the issue thread that they think even one offended person is too many, and they want to be as neutral as possible, which I think is commendable.
I think even if its a troll, its better to err on the side of “what if it is a real person, and they are offended.” Obviously, this needs to be taken within reason, like intolerance is not a valid reason etc etc.

World News@beehaw.org•Argentina presidential election: far-right libertarian Javier Milei wins after rival concedes
2·3 years agoI wonder if they are banking on, to put it into meme terms, “Heartbreaking: The Worst Person You Know Just Made A Great Point”.
And obviously I mean that in terms of a “great point” for the opposition.
I really don’t know anything about the parliamentary system of this country, hell I barely know enough about my own country, but this seems like at the best an interesting play and at the worst a huge miscalculation that will bite them in the arse.
Are the pads on the bottom like some sort of rubber or hard plastic?

172·3 years agoI mean if you’re already using a Windows machine for work you’re not gonna have to switch.
I imagine unless you’re self employed, you are probably given a machine to work on with a predefined operating system picked by your employer. If someone is in a place where they’re forced to use windows and the employer is making them pay for this equipment and software out of pocket, then that’s wicked scummy of the employer.
I’m just saying this cause I imagine the original comment your replying to has some implicit context of “when possible” or “on my own machine”.
Also it’s a bummer your software doesn’t work on Linux, nothing worse than being locked into a platform.

Memes@lemmy.ml•Deregulation will surely help the housing crisis 🤡
4·3 years agoI guess it’s a matter of semantics and if you’re an existing rich person, right? Cause from the perspective of the rich closing up those loop holes would be perceived as purely benefitting the poor.
For neutral rules to truly be neutral, you almost need to ensure there are services and programs to bring that opportunity to everyone, else it’s just appears more fair without actually increasing accessibility. Which to your point would be something like UBI.

72·3 years agoIs there a reason why you chose to be reactionary on the internet today?
This isn’t Reddit, you can be nicer than this, and maybe discuss the point about libertarianism that you like instead of just jumping to a bad faith argument against another economic system that neither OP, nor the post has brought up.
Remember there’s a person on the other side of the screen. Unless it’s a bit of course, but you know better than to take the bait of bots.

Gaming@beehaw.org•State of gaming on immutable Linux distros?
1·3 years agoI am on VanillaOS and it’s a pretty similar situation, although I will say the immutable nature makes it a little harder to find error logs and such.

I’m gonna preface this with “Holy fuck I don’t think I can convert this to a great comment”
I have to wonder if its possible to make these people understand the difference between hiring someone where their name or skin colour shouldn’t be a factor, vs hiring someone because they have a work visa and are easier to abuse (not the exact right word I’m looking for, but close enough).
Like yeah there’s probably less white guys being hired at big tech companies these days, and I don’t think its the big friendly diversity thing companies are pushing, but rather let’s fuck over contract workers and foreign workers.
Idk maybe they’re just to brain washed into the “They took er jerbs” mindset. I have to hope someone out there can help deprogram these silicon valley idiots.
