Passwords are definitely hashed unless it is a modified version of software, that does the opposite. Also, yes, IP and port number can be easily gathered from pretty much any https requests. Other than that it doesn’t seem that instances collect any other additional info unlike Reddit, that aggressively does browser fingerprinting.

Somewhere lower in this thread I explained(my opinion) why this dev has used this tactic of expressing points of view instead of simply presenting a modifiable, clearly visible and documented filter with a default option, that represents views of this dev. And it became clear to me, that there exist a lot of red flag moderators, whom it is reasonable to avoid engaging with. And also there exist other situation: when mod is relatevely OK, but the community itself is awful.
