“Член”. It’s like “member”, also has the same second meaning. It’s the more formal term for penis.

Such a cool thought, thank you! I’m going to pay attention to this.
I think it’s because of the home button right underneath the prints.
I remember it with mIRC, but it might have been a false memory, you’re right! Then again, it might have been some custom styling that enabled it?
Anyway, it definitely is the case for stuff like ICQ (I double-checked 😺).
Yeah, it’s one of my favorite little historical developments on the internet. A totally local convention that made perfect sense in the context of mIRC and similar things, yet persisted as an independent meaningful token.
I see, I’m happy she found a loving home ☺️
You called your cat pooper? 🙀
Drinking distilled water is actually not that dangerous, so long as you get salts some other way (food!). In order for distilled water to cause runaway deplasmolytic processes, you’d need to spend a lot of time only drinking that, afair from high school bio.
Better not, might blind yourself 😱
Not really saying that it’s independent, just that it’s not a random propaganda rag. Given that they’ve already received a strike mid 2022, they’re operating within a narrow corridor of permitted professionalized speech. Even a budding totalitarian regime is interested in having a decent financial newspaper to prop up the business/investment sector, and RBC is a far cry from the shrill propagandistic dross produced by Kremlin-originating sources. So, I don’t trust them to report everything, but I don’t expect them to outright produce fake news. That goes against the mutually beneficial niche they have settled in.
RBC is actually akin to FT in Europe. And the source is the European commission, a link should be present in the article.
Fuck off. This small-minded bullshit is one contributing factor to the rise of despicable systems like the Russian government and many parts of its Putin-supporting society. A blanket reaction against everything Russian dismisses a complexity and common humanity that is crucial for moving beyond petty angry tribalism.
