I went with genuine parts. There were some a quarter of the price but this is our last car till maybe we ndbup full electric

This was an easy one to diagnose. We hit a pot hole and then heard clunking right after, especially when turning one direction and not the orher. (As the body rolls and sway bar wants to hit axle) No noise when driving a steady rate and straight.

So a quick visual inspection showed the problem. And I’m glad it was that and not a CV joint acting up :)

For reassembly they have nylock inserts so I usually just leave it bare metal so as not to mess with the anti slip of the nylon.

The original lasted 22 years, so I shouldn’t need to replace them now :)

So you didn’t find it weird that the young kid Michael showcased on stage slept in the same bed as Michael in the hotels, while his family was given a room at the other end of the hotel. It seems super inappropriate, but besides Michael I also blame the parents … because you don’t let your kids sleep in a hotel room with a grown man. Even if he was famous.

The hardest part was taking the old nuts off, but I sprayed them the day before with WD40, so it wasn’t too bad

We bought a house that had the kitchen drain pipes like that.

Previous owner poured tons of chicken fat and bacon grease down the sink. The 1 1/2 pipe was down to a 1/2 hole. The fat seemed to have trapped every fiber that came down the pipe so the texture looked like your picture.

I though, meh, easy fix I’ll replace the pipe. But then noticed the galvanized pipe went behind a block wall and was resting on an electrical cable. So I had to pull it all out.

Then noticed (while opening the wall) that it had no insulation in the cavity. So I tore it all down to the studs and started over.

Clogged pipe became a $5000 kitchen reno.

But in the end we had new wiring, new plumbing, double sink, new cupboards, new counter top, and the closed in kitchen wall was opened up to make a breakfast bar with a supporting beam across the ceiling.

Looking back $5000 is cheap, today that would be a $20-30k reno if pros came in.

I’ll have to get my dad to do this at his place. He’s on a well, water softener, and fancy septic tank, as well as sump and sewer being pumped up from basement level to ground level for removal.

The system looks impressive, but if he’s not around in an emergency I would not know what pipe or valve does what.

We got flooded a bunch of times when the power got knocked out, because the town allowed development onto old swamp land that became a flood plain when the lake level was high and heavy rains came.

My dad installed a water based pump, it had a turbo type spool. City water pressure coming in on one side spun the pump shaft to pump out the sump. You are dumping city water into the sump too, but at a small volume x high pressure vs pumping out at low pressure x high volume.

So all was fine, just had to hope the town didn’t lose water pressure at same time as power outage.

It’s the difference between lead time and production period.

Let’s say GM rolls off 1 car out of the assembly line every hour, it doesn’t mean the work they do to build a car only takes an hour.

Maybe it takes a week? (I’m guessing) to get from frame to finished vehicle. It means the first six days are just filling the plant line, and 7th day they plop out a car an hour as they add one frame to the input at one an hour, but lead time is a full week to get car X from start to finish.
